The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the City of Cadillac, Wexford County, be authorized to levy annually a new additional millage in an amount not to exceed 1.85 mills ($1.85 per each $1,000 of taxable value) against all taxable property in the City for a period of ten (10) years, 2027 through 2036, inclusive, for the purpose of operating, equipping, providing personnel, and purchasing for the fire department and any other purposes authorized by law for fire services? The estimate of the revenue the City will collect in the first year (2027) if the millage is approved and levied by the City is approximately $630,000. By law, a portion of the revenue may be subject to capture by the City of Cadillac’s Local Development Finance Authority, Downtown Development Authority, and Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, and the Cadillac West Corridor Improvement Authority.

A yes vote approves a new city tax of up to 1.85 mills for 10 years (2027-2036) to operate, equip and staff the fire department.
