Changing the method of election for the members of the Board of Education of Currituck County from nonpartisan to partisan.
A “Yes” vote means
School board members would be elected in partisan elections, with candidates nominated like other county officers, starting with the 2028 elections.
A “No” vote means
Currituck school board members would continue to be elected in nonpartisan elections.
Put on the ballot by Session Law 2025-13; the change takes effect only if a majority votes for it, beginning with the 2028 elections.
