1. Completely fill in the oval to the left of "For" if you are in favor of tax for fire protection in Natural Wells Fire Protection District. 2. Completely fill in the oval to the left of "Against" if you are against tax for fire protection in Natural Wells Fire Protection District.
A “Yes” vote means
Allows a special property tax in the Natural Wells Fire Protection District, up to 15 cents per $100 of value, used only for fire protection in the district.
A “No” vote means
No special fire protection tax is levied in the Natural Wells Fire Protection District.
Only voters in the Natural Wells Fire Protection District vote on this question. Under G.S. 69-25.1 and 69-25.4, such an election follows a petition by resident freeholders, and if it passes the county commissioners levy the tax (up to 15 cents per $100) and keep it in a fund used only for fire protection in the district.
