Local sales and use tax at the rate of one-quarter percent (0.25%) in addition to all other State and local sales and use taxes.
A “Yes” vote means
Approves an additional one-quarter percent (0.25%) Scotland County sales and use tax, on top of all other state and local sales and use taxes.
A “No” vote means
Rejects the additional one-quarter percent county sales and use tax; the sales tax rate in Scotland County does not change.
The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on June 1, 2026 to put the quarter-cent tax on the ballot. Voters turned down the same tax in November 2024, 8,448 votes to 4,931.
