Shall the ordinance amending the Town of Mount Olive Charter that changes the terms of office of Mayor and Commissioners from two-year to four-year staggered terms be approved?
A “Yes” vote means
Approves the charter change giving Mount Olive's mayor and town commissioners four-year staggered terms instead of two-year terms, starting with the 2027 town elections.
A “No” vote means
The charter change does not take effect; Mount Olive's mayor and commissioners keep two-year terms.
Only on the ballots of Mount Olive voters (Wayne County sample ballot styles B0010 and B0011). The town board adopted the charter ordinance and the resolution calling this referendum on June 1, 2026, 4–1.
