To permit the "on-premises" and "off-premises" sale of malt beverages.
A “Yes” vote means
Permits on-premises and off-premises sales of malt beverages (beer) throughout Wayne County, including outside town limits, where such sales are now largely not allowed.
A “No” vote means
Keeps current rules, under which beer sales are largely limited to the towns that allow them, such as Goldsboro and Mount Olive.
Placed on the ballot by a resolution the Wayne County Board of Commissioners adopted in July 2026; the county attorney said alcohol sales are now allowed mostly inside the towns.
