The question, as printed on the ballot
To permit the sale of mixed beverages in hotels, restaurants, private clubs, community theatres, and convention centers and the "on-premises" and "off-premises" sale of malt beverages and unfortified wine in qualified establishments.
A “Yes” vote means
Permits mixed drinks in hotels, restaurants, private clubs, community theatres and convention centers, plus beer and wine sales in qualified establishments, throughout Wayne County.
A “No” vote means
Keeps current rules, under which mixed drink sales are largely limited to the towns that allow them, such as Goldsboro and Mount Olive.
Placed on the ballot by a resolution the Wayne County Board of Commissioners adopted in July 2026; the county attorney said alcohol sales are now allowed mostly inside the towns.
