The question, as printed on the ballot

To permit the "on-premises" and "off-premises" sale of unfortified wine.

A “Yes” vote means

Permits on-premises and off-premises sales of unfortified wine throughout Wayne County, including outside town limits, where such sales are now largely not allowed.

A “No” vote means

Keeps current rules, under which unfortified wine sales are largely limited to the towns that allow them, such as Goldsboro and Mount Olive.

Placed on the ballot by a resolution the Wayne County Board of Commissioners adopted in July 2026; the county attorney said alcohol sales are now allowed mostly inside the towns.
