The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the Township Committee of the Township of West Amwell amend Chapter 35, Section 35-3 of the Township Code, entitled “Funding,” to provide that the Municipal Open Space, Farmland and Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund shall be funded by an annual tax levy in an amount up to, but not exceeding, $0.06 per $100.00 of assessed valuation, rather than requiring the annual levy to be set at $0.06 per $100.00 of assessed valuation?

A “Yes” vote means

The Township Committee could set the open space, farmland, recreation and historic preservation levy each year at any amount up to 6 cents per $100 of assessed value.

A “No” vote means

The open space, farmland, recreation and historic preservation levy stays set at exactly 6 cents per $100 of assessed value each year.

A “Yes” vote authorizes the Township Committee to amend Section 35-3 of the Township Code so that the annual dedicated levy for the Municipal Open Space, Farmland and Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund may be set each year in an amount up to, but not exceeding, $0.06 per $100.00 of assessed valuation. The current ordinance provides for an annual levy of exactly $0.06 per $100.00 of assessed valuation.
