Shall the Town of DeRuyter Local Law which changes the term of office of the Highway Superintendent of the Town of DeRuyter from two (2) years to four (4) years be approved, thereby changing the term of office of the Highway Superintendent for persons elected to that position and taking office on or after January 1, 2027?
A “Yes” vote means
The highway superintendent's term becomes four years for those elected and taking office on or after January 1, 2027.
A “No” vote means
The highway superintendent's term stays two years.
