Shall Town of Smithfield Local Law No. 1 of 2026 of the Town of Smithfield, adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Smithfield on May 12, 2026 and entitled, "A Local Law Changing the Office of Highway Superintendent from Elective to Appointive in the Town of Smithfield", be approved?

A “Yes” vote means

Approves Local Law No. 1 of 2026, changing Smithfield's highway superintendent from an elected office to an appointed one.

A “No” vote means

Rejects the local law; the highway superintendent stays an elected office.
