The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the Office of Town Superintendent of Highways in the Town of Shelby be abolished and there be created in its place the hired Office of Town Superintendent of Highways with a four (4) year Term of Office, commencing January 1, 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote replaces Shelby's elected highway superintendent with a hired highway superintendent serving a four-year term, starting January 1, 2028.
A “No” vote means
A no vote keeps the Shelby highway superintendent an elected office.
