The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall the Office of elected Town Clerk in the Town of Shelby be abolished and there be created in its place the hired Office of Town Clerk with a four (4) year Term of Office, commencing January 1, 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote replaces Shelby's elected town clerk with a hired town clerk serving a four-year term, starting January 1, 2028.
A “No” vote means
A no vote keeps the Shelby town clerk an elected office.
