The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall the annual contribution for the Town of Malta for the operating budget of the Woman's Round Lake Improvement Society Library (aka Round Lake Library which serves the Town of Malta) be increased by one hundred twenty-one thousand dollars ($121,000) to the sum of four hundred sixty thousand dollars ($460,000) annually. This increase to the town's annual contribution would result in an increase to property taxes of approximately three cents ($.03) per thousand of assessed valuation.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote raises the town's yearly contribution to the Round Lake Library by $121,000 to $460,000, about three cents per $1,000 of assessed value in property taxes.

A “No” vote means

A no vote keeps the town's yearly contribution to the Round Lake Library at its current amount.
