'Shall the Town of Marbletown abolish the elective office of Superintendent of Highways and authorize the Town Board to create a Department of Public Works, to be administered by a Commissioner of Public Works appointed by the Town Board, who shall assume the powers and duties previously vested in the Superintendent of Highways, together with such additional duties as may be assigned by the Town Board?'
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote abolishes the elected highway superintendent and lets the town board create a public works department run by a commissioner it appoints.
A “No” vote means
A no vote keeps the elected office of Superintendent of Highways.
