An additional tax for the benefit of the Township of Scott for the purpose of providing and maintaining emergency medical services, including ambulance service, emergency service, or both, and to maintain EMS apparatus, appliances, buildings, sites for apparatus, EMS vehicles, and related equipment, whether by contract or otherwise that the county auditor estimates will collect $259,477 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $123 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new 3.5-mill, 5-year property tax for emergency medical services in Scott Township, estimated to collect $259,477 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
