The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Ashtabula Township (excluding Ashtabula City) for the purpose of fire and emergency medical service, personnel, or equipment that the county auditor estimates will collect $224,722 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $34 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.5-mill, 5-year property tax for fire and emergency medical service in Ashtabula Township outside Ashtabula city.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
