The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Ashtabula Township (excluding Ashtabula City) for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of streets, roads and bridges that the county auditor estimates will collect $187,269 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.25 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $29 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.25-mill, 5-year property tax for streets, roads and bridges in Ashtabula Township outside Ashtabula city.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
