The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of the Village of Geneva on the Lake for the purpose of general expenses associated with the Village Police Department that the county auditor estimates will collect $104,708 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.99 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $70 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new 1.99-mill, 5-year property tax for the Geneva-on-the-Lake Village Police Department's general expenses.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
