The question, as printed on the ballot

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Orwell Township (excluding the Village of Orwell) for the purpose of fire protection, that the county auditor estimates will collect $39,134 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $32 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote renews a 1.5-mill, 5-year property tax for fire protection in Orwell Township outside Orwell Village.

A “No” vote means

A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
