The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Ames Township (Excluding Village of Amesville) for the purpose of fire protection that the county auditor estimates will collect $20,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $19 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1-mill, 5-year property tax for fire protection in Ames Township outside Amesville, estimated to collect $20,000 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
