The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall an annual income tax of 1 percent on earned income of individuals residing in the school district be imposed by the Athens City School District, to renew an income tax expiring at the end of 2028, for a continuing period of time, beginning January 1, 2029, for the purpose of current operating expenses?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews the Athens City School District's 1% earned income tax, which expires at the end of 2028, for a continuing period starting January 1, 2029, for current operating expenses.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal; the current income tax expires at the end of 2028.
