The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of Buchtel Village for the purpose of current expenses that the county auditor estimates will collect $32,611 annually, at a rate not exceeding 5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $175 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves an additional 5-mill, 5-year property tax for Buchtel Village current expenses, estimated to collect $32,611 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
Ballot heading: "Proposed Tax Levy (Additional) Buchtel Village (Athens and Hocking Counties)". The village extends into Hocking County's Ward Township; Athens County's board certified the issue.
