A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Canaan Township (Including Athens City) for the purpose of provide fire protection that the county auditor estimates will collect $19,935 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.4 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $10 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.4-mill, 5-year property tax for fire protection in Canaan Township, including the part of Athens city in the township, estimated to collect $19,935 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
