The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of Carthage Township for the purpose of maintaining and operating cemeteries that the county auditor estimates will collect $24,222 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.6 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $21 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves an additional 0.6-mill, 5-year property tax to maintain and operate Carthage Township cemeteries, estimated to collect $24,222 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
