The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of Carthage Township for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets, roads, and bridges that the county auditor estimates will collect $121,111 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $105 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves an additional 3-mill, 5-year property tax for Carthage Township streets, roads and bridges, estimated to collect $121,111 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
