The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of Athens County for the purpose of maintenance and operation of Athens City-County Health Department that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,520,051 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $35 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 10 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves an additional 1-mill, 10-year Athens County property tax to maintain and operate the Athens City-County Health Department, estimated to collect $1,520,051 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
