The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Lee Township (Excluding Albany Village) for the purpose of provide and maintain fire fighting facilities equipment and personnel, including paramedics and other emergency services, that the county auditor estimates will collect $28,760 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $12 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.5-mill, 5-year property tax for firefighting facilities, equipment and personnel in Lee Township outside Albany, estimated to collect $28,760 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
On the Lee Township ballot. Issues 23 and 24 are two separate renewal levies whose ballot wording is identical.
