An additional tax for the benefit of the City of Wapakoneta for the purpose of funding the improvement, operation, and maintenance of the City's parks and recreation facilities, including the revitalization of playgrounds, athletic fields, sports courts, and recreational spaces; upgrading of shelter houses and public restrooms; the provision of recreational programs and activities; the enhancement of maintenance efforts for park facilities and equipment; and the coverage of essential operational expenses such as utilities, contracted services, and other costs necessary to sustain and improve the quality and accessibility of the City's parks and recreation offerings that the county auditor estimates will collect $508,100 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $70 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
