An additional tax for the benefit of Flushing Township for the purpose of fire protection with the volunteer fire departments covering areas of Flushing Township (excluding the Villages of Flushing and Holloway) that the county auditor estimates will collect $89,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $88 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves an additional 2.5-mill, 5-year property tax for volunteer fire protection in Flushing Township outside Flushing and Holloway, estimated to collect $89,000 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
