The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Johnson St. Paris Fire District for the purpose of providing and maintaining fire apparatus, appliances, buildings or sites therefore, that the county auditor estimates will collect $153,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2.25 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $35 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 2.25-mill, 5-year property tax for fire apparatus, buildings and sites in the Johnson St. Paris Fire District.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
