An additional tax for the benefit of Springfield Township for the purpose of providing police protection, providing and maintaining motor vehicles, communications, and other equipment, buildings, sites for such buildings used directly in the operation of a police department, or the payment of salaries of permanent police personnel, including the payment of the police employer's contribution required under section 742.33 of the Revised Code, or the payments of the costs incurred by townships as a result of contracts made with other political subdivision in order to obtain police protection that the county auditor estimates will collect $245,685 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $18 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
