A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Butler Township for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of roads and bridges that the county auditor estimates will collect $171,398 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $34 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 3-mill, 5-year property tax (about $171,398 a year) for Butler Township roads and bridges.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
