The question, as printed on the ballot
A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Fairfield Township for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of roads and bridges, that the county auditor estimates will collect $388,340 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.6 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $25 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.6-mill, 5-year property tax (about $388,340 a year) for Fairfield Township roads and bridges.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
On the ballots of Fairfield Township, the City of Columbiana and the Village of Leetonia precincts, and of part of Beaver Township precinct 4 in Mahoning County.
