A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. An additional tax for the benefit of Wayne Township for the purpose of protection against fire that the county auditor estimates will collect $78,781 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $105 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new 3-mill, 5-year property tax (about $78,781 a year) for Wayne Township fire protection.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
