The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Section 13.05 of the Charter of the City of Bedford Heights be amended to permit the Director of Finance's bond requirement to be satisfied by one or more insurance or risk-management policies or programs designed to protect the City against loss caused by dishonest acts, theft, or failure to faithfully perform official duties, including, without limitation, a Government Entity Crime Policy with a Faithful Performance of Duty endorsement, or any successor or substantially equivalent form of coverage maintained by the City, in an amount not less than that otherwise required for the bond, so long as such policy is maintained, in lieu of a separate surety bond?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote amends the city charter to let insurance or risk-management policies satisfy the Director of Finance's bond requirement instead of a separate surety bond.
A “No” vote means
A no vote leaves the charter unchanged.
