The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall Article IV, of the Charter of the City of Broadview Heights be amended to add Section 4(d) to provide that the Mayor shall have the authority to enter into contracts on behalf of the City without prior Council approval as required pursuant to Article III, Section 7 of the Charter when the value of the contract is $25,000 or less, provided sufficient funds have otherwise been appropriated by council; and that the $25,000 threshold shall increase annually at a rate of 3% beginning January 1, 2028?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote lets the Mayor enter into contracts of $25,000 or less without prior Council approval if funds are appropriated, with the limit rising 3% a year from 2028.

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves the charter unchanged.
