Shall a fixed-sum levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by the Garfield Heights City School District for the purpose of paying the current operating expenses of the district in the sum of $4,100,000 and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the County Fiscal Officer to average 7.74 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $271 for each $100,000 of the County Fiscal Officer’s market value, for a period of five years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a five-year fixed-sum levy of $4,100,000 a year (estimated average 7.74 mills) for the school district's current operating expenses.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
