The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall Article III, Section 3 of the Charter of the City of Maple Heights be amended to delete the provision that an elective officer who is absent from the duties of office for three months, or disqualified from office, may continue in office until a successor is qualified?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote deletes the provision letting an elected officer absent for three months, or disqualified, stay in office until a successor qualifies.

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves the charter unchanged.
