The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall Article III, Section 1 of the Charter of the City of Maple Heights be amended to provide that each member of Council shall have resided continuously in the City for a period of at least two (2) years preceding their election; and that they shall have resided continually in the district from which the Councilperson seeks election, for a period of at least two (2) years preceding their election?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote requires council members to have lived in the city, and in the district they seek to represent, for at least two years before their election.

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves the charter unchanged.
