The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Section 7.04 of the Charter of the Village of Oakwood be amended to provide that Council may direct such officials, departments, or employees of the municipality, or may appropriate such funds and contract with a third party, as Council may determine is necessary to redivide the municipality into five wards which shall be as nearly equal in number of persons after each Federal census; and that the Village Engineer shall keep, maintain, and make available for public inspection a map of the Municipality delineating its ward boundaries?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote lets Council direct staff or contract to redivide the village into five equal-population wards after each census, with the Village Engineer keeping a public ward map.
A “No” vote means
A no vote leaves the charter unchanged.
