The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Article XI of the Charter of the Village of Orange be amended by reducing the interval for appointing the Charter Review Commission members from eight (8) to six (6) years; to provide that at its first meeting the Commission shall organize and appoint a chair, vice chair, and secretary; that the Commission shall make its recommendations to Council on revisions to the Charter by the first of June next following the appointment of the Commission; and to authorize the engagement of special counsel or other professional assistance for the Commission as Council determines to be appropriate?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote appoints the Charter Review Commission every six years instead of eight, sets its organization and deadline, and allows counsel or other help for it.
A “No” vote means
A no vote leaves the charter unchanged.
