The question, as printed on the ballot
Shall Article IV, Section 2 of the Charter of the Village of Orange be amended to provide that the Mayor shall not hold any other elected public office, but may hold other public employment; and to provide that if the Mayor ceases to possess any of the qualifications for said office, the Mayor may be removed from office pursuant to the procedure stated in Article IV, Section 8 of the Charter?
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote bars the Mayor from holding another elected office (other public employment allowed) and allows removal if the Mayor loses a qualification for office.
A “No” vote means
A no vote leaves the charter unchanged.
