The question, as printed on the ballot

Shall Article II, Section 3 of the Charter of the City of Rocky River be amended to provide that Council may, by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the members of Council after public hearing, expel or remove the Mayor from office for gross misconduct, malfeasance, nonfeasance, misfeasance in or disqualification for office; for violation of the Mayor’s oath of office; for conviction while in office of a crime involving moral turpitude; for absence without justifiable excuse from three consecutive regular Council meetings; or for mental or physical disability rendering it impossible for the Mayor to perform the duties of Mayor?

A “Yes” vote means

A yes vote lets Council, by a two-thirds vote after a public hearing, remove the Mayor for listed reasons such as misconduct, a crime of moral turpitude or repeated absence.

A “No” vote means

A no vote leaves the charter unchanged.
