The question, as printed on the ballot
An additional tax for the benefit of Village of Galena for the purpose of current expenses that the county auditor estimates will collect $192,942 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $70 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 4 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves a new 2-mill, 4-year property tax (about $192,942 a year) for Galena's current expenses.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the additional levy.
