The question, as printed on the ballot
Issuing bonds in the principal amount of two hundred twenty million dollars ($220,000,000) for the purpose of constructing, furnishing, and equipping a new Westland High School and new Grove City High School, with related site improvements; constructing school facilities and renovating, repairing, expanding, and improving existing school facilities; furnishing and equipping the same; and improving the sites thereof. The maximum number of years over which the principal of the bonds may be paid is 38 years. The estimated additional average annual property tax levy amounts to $79 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, which is 2.26 mills for each one dollar in excess of the tax limitation as estimated and certified by the county auditor. The first calendar year in which the tax is expected to be due is 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote approves $220 million in bonds for new Westland and Grove City high schools and other school work, repaid by a property tax averaging 2.26 mills for up to 38 years.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the bond issue and its property tax.
