A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Hancock County Agency on Aging, now known as 50 North, for the purpose of providing continued operations and the expansion of services to senior residents that the county auditor estimates will collect $2,566,887 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.2 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $25 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for a period of five years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.2-mill, 5-year property tax for the Hancock County Agency on Aging (50 North) services to senior residents, estimated to collect $2,566,887 a year.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
