A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Harrison County for the purpose of maintenance and operation of the County Home that the county auditor estimates will collect $1,609,394 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $53 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 1.5-mill, 5-year county property tax (about $1.61 million a year) to maintain and operate the County Home.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
