A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Freeport Village for the purpose of current expense, that the county auditor estimates will collect $3,056 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.89 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $31 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 4 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 0.89-mill, 4-year property tax (about $3,056 a year) for Freeport Village's current expenses.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
