The question, as printed on the ballot
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Freeport Village for the purpose of current expense, that the county auditor estimates will collect $14,411 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $123 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in calendar year 2028.
A “Yes” vote means
A yes vote renews a 3.5-mill, 5-year property tax (about $14,411 a year) for Freeport Village's current expenses.
A “No” vote means
A no vote rejects the renewal levy.
